Our dinner reservations for a party of (6) were this past Saturday and let's just say our expectations were more than met! This was my first visit to Piatti in Danville but it definitely won't be my last! We arrived a little bit early but were immediately greeted and seated. Our server came by promptly brought us water, took our drink order and asked if we wanted bread. The bread was extremely warm, generous in portion size and was accompanied with one of the best sauce I've ever had. I don't know what the mix consisted of, but it was unbelievably tasty. I typically don't like garlic but I couldn't resist eating more bread just so I can dip it in this magical sauce. The menu is straight forward without being overly complicated or having too many unnecessary options. Appetizers ordered were fried calamari, bruschetta and olives. All great options and easily shareable. I opted for the Margherita pizza, which was cooked perfectly in a coal pizza oven. The ingredients were perfectly assorted and you can just taste the freshness. Every member of our party was satisfied with their meals. From chicken to steak, the food was perfectly cooked. For drinks, a full bar is located to the right of the restaurant. I had one old-fashioned and thoroughly enjoyed it. I limited myself to one drink as I was driving but had I been a passenger, I would have easily ordered one or two more- they were that good! In terms of service, the pace is good. It wasn't 'fast', but it wasn't slow either. It was the right amount of speed for us to enjoy our bread, appetizers and entrées. Our waiter was very educated on the menu and you could tell this guy is a professional. It's rare to see this level of professionalism from a waiter in the SF Bay Area, but you'll get it here! Lastly, let's talk pricing. I was shocked at the bill. It was far cheaper than I expected. Considering the amount of food we ordered and alcohol, the pricing is more than fair. In fact, it's on the cheaper side which is surprising as this is a 'nice' restaurant. Thank you for the great food & service. I plan on coming back on many occasions.

Went for my Moms Birthday and our server Patricia was excellent. All we wanted was to sit by the fireplace and get the bread pudding and we got both.

I made a last minute reservation, but got my day mixed up. I actually used the Open Table and booked the wrong day. The reservation was early enough before the Dinner rush, and they were able to accommodate a party of 5 people. The lady at the Hostess was very understanding and was able to get us a booth. The food was good and I started off with a Negroni. I had ordered a Rigatoni with Meat marinara and pork. I had also ordered a side Caesaer salad without Anchovies. The Server was very helpful and friendly and he was able to handle our special request. One of the people in our party had to leave early but everything worked out in the end. The only thing was that perplexed me was that you had to ask for bread instead of them putting the bread (ciabatta) on the table. There was a minimal charge for the bread but it was really good. Definitely will go again for the ambiance and the food. Will look forward to try the Blueberry Cobbler crisp dessert that the Server had suggested for next time.

We ended up at Piatti because we were going to try a different Italian restaurant on Saturday - needless to say we walked in and walked right out of that place and into Piatti. When we walked in, my wife immediately noticed that they remodelled the place. This was later confirmed by the manager that they just reopened after a 3 month shutdown/remodel. We came for lunch and was immediately sat down. We were told who our server would be and after 5 minutes of waiting he finally showed up to greet us and give us water. I ordered a drink and my wife asked for ice and he was off. It took another 5 minutes for the ice to be given to us and another 2 minutes for my drink to come. This would be a pattern for the time we were dining - the server would come by and we would ask for something (sometimes twice) and it would be a while before we would get it. To top it off - we were sat near two individuals (male) who were loud, obnoxious, and visibly intoxicated. One individual was louder than the other and that one would do facetime calls from his phone and talk really loud. It was obvious that they were disturbing the other patetrons in the restaurant because the manager finally came up to them to confront them. But this was after at least 45 minutes since we had been in the restaurant and who knows how long that they had been in the restaurant before we got there. After some hub-bub - those two individuals finally left - but not after some "threats" of Yelping and telling people about this on social media - the louder one even pretended to video tape the crowd. After they left the manager came to our table to apologize for the loud guests. He offered us free desserts and coffee to compensate for them. We appreciated that he tried to make it right. Note: the pasta dishes we had were very good, as well as the desserts and coffee

Came here yesterday for the first time since my husband and I were looking for an Italian place that opened before noon. We got seated quickly since we were still within the initial 30 min of opening. Once we got seated, the server was really attentive, allowing time when needed but also not waiting too long before taking our orders. I ended up getting their arancia ginger soda, a cup of their minestrone soup, the Manila clams linguini, and their roasted broccolini. My husband got their polpette sandwich and the butternut squash soup. The ginger soda was interesting as you can definitely taste the component. The slice of ginger placed in it was interesting though ultimately I didn't do anything with it. It's a bit unnecessary in my opinion. The minestrone soup was pretty good, but I wish the fresh basil wasn't on top since it would occasionally overwhelm the soup's natural taste. Otherwise the base itself was spot on delicious. The Manila clam linguini was okay honestly. Nothing really worth writing home about except for the fact the linguini was cut in a special way as opposed to the generic factory cut version of the pasta. The clams were a bit small so I do wish they were bigger. Oddly enough, I enjoyed the broccolini more as that was flavorful and cooked perfectly. It's a really good side. So would I come back? Maybe? But given the price, I kind of expect things a bit better?

Ten of us made a reservation for a holiday dinner. It took them a wee bit of time to set the table up and get us seated. Food was good to great. Not a single person complained! Great wine list and excellent cocktails. Service was excellent from Zach and the two hard working bus-men! The restroom renovation is good but the height of the solo urinal left me wondering, why?! Consistently good!

It's been a while since our last visit. Another awesome experience from the time step in till leave. We were early to our reservation, the wait wasn't long though. Got seated properly. Interior was nicely decorated. Host was sweet and attentive. The kitchen messed up our appetizer. They took back and fixed it right away. Food was delicious and priced reasonable. We left with satisfaction and filled tummy. Parking could be a disaster during dinner time.

Piatti is opened again! Made a last minute reso within the same hour for lunch. 1st time here since the remodeled. The interior was nicely done with the olive green velvet booths and dimmed lights in the back. The restrooms definitely had a makeover. Wow. Onto the food. Still delicious as ever. Had the rigatoni with their signature bolog sauce. Pasta Al dente. Tiramisu was perfect! Nicely soaked overnight, with creamy mascapone filling, dusted cocoa powder. Beer was chilled and refreshing on a hot day. Cucumber Cooler, and all time favorite was thirst quenching. So glad they are back
